I was reading Pg 18 of the Straits Times today.
"It was upon completion of the Human Genome Project in February 2001 that we were told any two unrelated human beings were 99.9 percent alike in their genomics. And statistical modellings suggests that all of us who are alive today, regardless of race, share a common ancestor who lived just 3500 years ago, circa 1415 BC. The bottomline: There are no races to speak of genetically."
The deeper bottomline: Was that ancestor Adam/Eve?
I'm trying to convince myself that science can be used to explain religion. But it's trickier than it seems, because many scientists deny the existence of God.
