Pooped

Gosh. Spent 2 hours on the bicycle with Michelle, cycling around Woodlands. Upslopes kill.

Trends.
At every period of your uniquely distinct Singaporean life, there's some distinct trend that characterizes us. Clothing. Food. Music. People.

Do you remember?
Baggy Fubu and Quiksilver Jeans. Secondary school kids wearing it, thinking it's absolutely cool to have those jeans uphold Singapore's sparkling clean image by sweeping the streets clean.
Tamagochi. A no frills electronic pet. Low maintenance, operable on 1 Triple A battery. Feedable with ice cream. Make sure its BMI is within acceptable range.
Ocean Pacific. What happened to their Hawaiian flowery shirts and berms?
Final Fantasy. If you haven't heard of it, poor you. You deserve to be omnislashed.
Ballads and Boybands. Michael Learns To Rock. Westlife. Boyzone. N Sync. Five. 98 Degrees. Backstreet Boys. 911. Ant & Dec. LFO. Blue. What a minute. Why do I know so many of them?
Milano's Lunch Buffet. Who could have forgotten. The whole RI population might have probably been solely responsible for the poor pizza restaurant's demise.
35cts Bus Fare. Slotting in those red or blue bendable plastic cards was kinda fun.
Sony MD. Just when you taught those floppy, flappy looking like discs were only tailored for the computer, least you expect, it fit snuggly into a walkman, storing more songs than your pathetic CD, yet offering the same quality music.
Magic Cards. Tap for one green mana. Great! I can cast Llanowar Elves.
Centre Parting Hair. The more center, the better.
IRC --> ICQ --> MSN --> ??

Now now.
Every clown on the street is probably wearing some fake Polo Ralph Lauren Tee or Lacoste Tee.
Coupled with half framed or completely frameless specs. Forgot about the Crumpler or Zinc bag, which will hold your essentials such as that Nalgene water bottle, or maybe that $200 Coach Wallet, or maybe your Apple Powerbook.

I wonder what's next.
Striped jeans?
Electronic cashcard chip embedded into your skin?
Computerized clothing? Wear the same thing everyday, change the image on the outside.
Online shopping via webcam?
Silky polos for guys?
Slit pants for females?
Wireless headphones?

I can't imagine. Maybe I should offer some educational service that secures your child an A for H2 Maths, minus all the complicated crap the schools teach, that your child does not need to know, if he never ever wants to do Maths in future.

For now, I leave you with Spice Girls.
