Doesn't Make Sense

I shouldn't have known you.
I shouldn't have known you also.
I shouldn't have allowed you to know me more.

But if I didn't know you, I don't think I would be me today.

Strange how we always want to know the people we long and dream to know, but we end up meeting people we wish we didn't know.

Someday we'll know, I guess.
