Dating StrengthsDating Weaknesses
1. Spirituality - 76.9%
2. Intelligence - 71.4%
3. Financial Situation - 69.2%
4. Adventurousness - 58.3%
5. Varied Interests - 57.1%
1. Closed-Mindedness - 54.5%
2. Humorlessness - 50%
3. Temper - 50%
4. Vanity - 50%

Dating Strengths Explained
Spirituality - Your spiritual side brings you peace and balance, and keeps you grounded. This is attractive, as you can help reinforce this quality in other people.
Intelligence - Your sharp intellect is a valuable asset. Use your intelligence wisely; avoid condescension. Quiet, confident intelligence is very attractive.
Financial Situation - You've got your financial situation under control, which is a very desirable quality. Be careful to avoid girls who are only interested in your money.
Adventurousness - You are willing to try new things and be spontaneous. You want to get out there and really live, and you will attract people with a similar love of life.
Varied Interests - You don't limit yourself, and that's a dating asset. Your varied interests make you available and interesting to a wider range of girls.

Dating Weaknesses Explained
Closed-Mindedness - You are very fixed in your world-view, but if you open up a little you will see that people can hold different beliefs and still get along well.
Humorlessness - You need to learn how to take a joke, or better yet how to tell a good one. A well-developed sense of humor is high on the list of desired traits for daters.
Temper - You need to work on controlling your temper. Don't let your anger get the best of you. A calm and rational persona is important when dating.
Vanity - Learn to put a lower priority on looks. Appearance is, of course, important, but vanity is undesireable. The only people you will attract are the superficial.

I'm not sure. I don't really agree. But ok. The weaknesses are a little true. More true last time I think.

"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have." (Hebrews 13:5)

Precisely. Material wealth is deluding my mind. I keep forgetting what I have and I keep reminding myself what I don't have. It's fuel that drives me. But it's the wrong kind of fuel.

Random Post 6

1) Instead of studying for fluid mechanics, i ended up eating egg and luncheon meat at the food court at my house downstairs. My eyes immediately went cuckoo when I saw vortex sheets emerging. Aiyah. I just need 2 hours tomorrow. My haphazard quite zai one. Hahaha. (Yar rite)

2) You will never know who will read your blog. Right? Joanne and gang. -_-

3) You can chao keng in NIE. Just visit the polyclinic and take a MC. And since we are civil servants, no need to pay $ haha. No, this doesn't imply that I'm going to do it.

4) Dilys, getting busy with hall stuff is a very unproductive thing. I rather you go window shoppping. Hahahah.

5) Ma Siu Lin pronounces number as lumber.

6) exp(i*Pi) + 1 = 0. Nice equation. Because this equation connects the integer, irrational, rational and complex number line in one neat equation.

7) I'm starting to hate travelling from school to Lavender and back home. I'm wasting 2 hours for nothing.

8) I plan to grow my hair very long. I mean very long. Then I'll cut it all off just in time for the teaching attachment.

9) I plan to mug like shit this same for my maths. If I get some nonsensical score, I think I would prefer slacking. Because when I slack, I still get a decent score. And if I piah and still get that same decent score, doesn't make sense right.... Better off slacking and doing something more productive right.

10) Last point. Singapore is very small. When you realize that I know a number of people that come from Woodlands Primary School. -_-"

Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." (Genesis 4:6-7)

And right at that moment, there was Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel. And Cain killed Abel, the first brother that any living man had. You could very well say that 1/4 of humanity was wiped out there and then.

Man's hatred for each other runs deep. So deep that it already existed at the beginning of mankind. Hmm...

Ok time to finish complex tutorial 2. Oh wait. It's only Week 3 Monday. Errrrrr Hahaha.

Random Post 3

Something got me thinking during the conversation yesterday.

It is of paramount importance to talk it out before deciding on what both people want out of a relationship. The biggest problem many people run into, is when they start talking about it, when they are halfway in one, rather than before getting into one.

That's why, it was screwed up right from the start years ago.
Perhaps it was a lesson to me from God.

Anyway, thank you for the company today. You know who you are.
I'm staying at home on Friday and Saturday.

Got to paint the house. I also got a whole list of personal chores to settle. urghh

Random Post 2

I declare this month to be a month where my blog generates random posts.
Something like a random post generator.

1) Mob Manning just ended for me. It sucks, when you know that most people have 4 hours to report back to camp, but you only have 2 hours, because you're sitting at HQ level.

2) I ate Hot Plate Spaghetti AND Baked Rice at Engine today.

3) I just finished running.

4) I want to get CAP 5 this sem. Because if get anything less than 4.5, I'm more or less out of the running for first class. I took a look at the sample space in the lecture today. Let's say if each cohort only has 10 pple who can get 1st class honours for maths, I more or less know 5 people who can get it, in which I practically cannot contest with them in any manner whatsoever, because they are just too godly. Oh well. I need to learn how to bankai with my calculator zanpaktou asap.

5) I'm like a mugger. I've already finished 3 tutorials. -_-

6) It's 97 days to exams, or so what Ben Chew postulates.

7) There's another NUS CS competition coming up. But I don't know whether should i take part, because seriously no kick. I'm serious. Oh if u haven't known, I was in one of the Top 5 Singapore CS Clans 4 years ago. Maybe go in and win free $100 mouse. My logitech mouse needs some replacing.

8) To Wing Keung, Tang Wai Shing, Ma Siu Lin and Tan Ban Pin are really 4 very good Maths lecturers.

9) I plan to do my honours in optimization. I foresee a very very important usage in it in the future. Plus I got a secret plan up my sleeves when I graduate. muhaha. Add the 2 up, I'm going to be powderful. Yah rite.

10) I'm going JB again on Thursday.

Quite frivolous right, my posting. Haha.

Food. Glorious Food at JB. All this junk for only 13 Sing per person. And I forgot to mention, there's actually more food. Just that I can't fit all of them into my camera phone. Sorry la. Not enough mega pixels.

Ok enuf crapping. Time to pack all my SBO Field Pack Helmet back into my cabinet. Zzz.

Haven't been blogging much. Kinda busy.

1) I saw Thaksin (yes the ousted PM from Thailand) at Taka today. Me Greg Zw and Gim were erm... astounded. He had no bodyguards. Just a lady and a man with him. I think... he's seeking political asylum in Singapore, considering the dealings he had with Shincorp and Temasek. No surprises.
2) The rain finally stopped. Finally I managed to run.
3) I ate muddy mud pie today.
4) I did finish 2 maths tutorials already.
5) I think I can throw my pool cue into the swimming pool. It's collecting a lot of dust.
6) The teppanyaki at Food Republic is quite... shitty.
7) I'll continue more when I can think of what to write. -_-

Google Theory

Try googling your name at google.com.
Or just enter your name into the blogspot's search engine. You'll be surprised at the entries you can find, relating to yourself, or to your friends who are connected to you.

In the wake of the ever improving technology, the world is indeed getting flat. So flat that you most probably can get some kind of information or picture of a person who's connected to the Internet. Physical space is slowly being replaced by technological transient space. You can physically hide behind a wall, just as how you can digitally hide behind a firewall. But slowly, firewalls are starting to prove redundant just as how privacy and subterfuge is losing its existence and meaning.

So here comes Google Theory, where I postulate that in 10 years time, anyone of us can be googled on the Internet. There's no escape. Google will enroach into every space of our digital life. We've seen Google with Blogspot. Google with YouTube. Google Earth. What's next? Google Friendster? Google EBay? Google Wikipedia? Google OS?

Well, take myself for instance. I found out after Googling that
1) I'm an NUS Applied Maths Major going on SEP at UBC come AY2007/2008
2) I'm in NUS Cuesports, with my handphone and email displayed in all its mighty glory
3) I'm on Zhongwen's blog, which is practically defunct
4) I took part in Pool Fest 2006 and got my arse whooped
5) I'm from RJC, and I'm awarded the MOE Teaching Award

See if this kind of information, the next time someone plans a meeting with me, there's a high chance he or she would already know like 1/4 of my background. The problem is further exacerbated when you have a unique name like mine.

It'll only be a matter of time before each and everyone of us will be Googable. Well, even the root world google is now an official word. Go check www.dictionary.com if you don't believe.

"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666." - Revelation 13:(16-18)

As ambiguous as the mark may sound in this context, to some extent, aren't we all getting marked on the Net? And it is through this mark that associates us with connectivity, convenience and accessibility to knowledge on the Internet. Without this mark, without this association, we will be alienated and we will get nowhere. Hey, only a matter of time before we get chips embedded into our skin or barcodes genetically imprinted into our skin. The Bible is a wonder sometimes.

But in any case, I'm just spouting random garbage as usual. Well. Happy New Year everyone. God Bless. =)

Charisma Theory

If you keep close watch of my blog, you would have realized I haven't been typing much cynical, warped, mind-boggling posts of late.

Oops
Well, it's time to start them again. I know it's a character flaw that can never be erased.

I think a person's charisma, likeability and his ability to influence people has a postive correlation to the kind of environment that he was brought up in. It's highly dependent on parental upbringing, the kind of household the person lives in and the receptiveness of parents in their level of acceptance and accommodation.

I do notice a general trend that if parents are very accommodating, willing to host events at their houses, involving their relatives and their children's friends, there is a high chance this child would grow up to be a charismatic child. This stems from the fact that the children themselves are given the opportunity to socialize with age genres of all digits. Without fear or worry of bringing people secretly back home, they are able to invite their friends over for all sorts of fun, laughter, interaction and catching up. This further improves the individual's communication skills from young, improves his sphere of influence between his friends and his relatives, making him well-liked, amiable and sociable.

On the other hand, having a child grow up in an overbearing environment where the slightest mistake would net you a scornful eye from your parents, a beating, a verbal lashout, would serve to send his charisma factor spiralling into the doldrums. Not forgetting an environment where the parents shun people away at the mere mention of the phrase "can i visit your house?". Naturally, the child becomes very reserved, because the environment he lives in becomes mundane and dead. The same old routine everyday, with no surprises, no new events to look forward to in his house. He or she would fear the thought of receiving negative comments from his parents should he wish to bring friends back.

You see, my definition of charisma is based on first impression. Not based on the impression you get after knowing that person for so long. And charisma can be nurtured, provided if started from a young age. As one's personality starts to become firm, like how cement would harden into concrete over time, changing it when it is concrete would be rather impossible.

So if you want to improve your charisma, which obviously you can't, cause you would be too young to even differentiate Paris Hilton from Nicole Ritchie, I suggest you should just screw it. Cos your charisma lies in the hands of your parents. What they do in your growing years will ultimately decide how charismatic you will be. Of course, if you are rich, you can use money to buy charisma, no doubts about it.

Me? The answer is obvious. So treasure it if you had the chance. Because it took me 22 years to shove the fucking point into my mother's thick skull.

Sadly, it hasn't reached her brain yet. Permeating somewhere in her thick skull.

I spent the Night at the Museum and at JB also.
If my parents knew, I think they would be very displeased.
The food at Macau Express rocks. And it's dirt cheap too.
Then it was The Lake House. Wow what a show.

I think I better find a day to go back to JB again. A lot of things on sale. Hmmm.

Sorry la. I'm too lazy to go into in-depth blogging. Shag.
