GEP Talk Part 7

PLEASE READ THE PREVIOUS POST BEFORE READING THIS ONE

Out Of The Window

I've got nothing to throw out of the window
because I thought I would sleep past tomorrow
with hands clutching my pillow
but I had already given the redpill from Morpheus a swallow
and my innards were feeling terribly hollow

I found myself looking through a window
bewildered at the new dream my brain had borrowed
astounded at the events that followed
shocked at my missing libido
horrified that a red pill had sentenced me to the gallows

I stared out of the window
surprised to find another who looked like Hiro
as grey beings danced around sleek and slow
and I waited for the purported hero
who will drag me out of this freezing sub-zero

I peeked at the side of the window
and saw the dizzying heights below
a height that had no end for snow

I thought I was a nobody beneath the window
who had served him with grace and mellow
as I finally realized I was chosen by him to wear the halo of yellow

and be his messenger for the world full of windows

for you to interpret.

GEP Talk Part 6

The Window Made Of Pun

I threw slabs of Kraft
out of the window
I saw butterflies in yellow
flapping its wings with mellow

I threw corn
out of the window
I saw it mix with snow
cornflakes feeding the hungry below

I threw Cauchy
out of the window
I saw him hanging on to poles and zeroes
but finally proving too much for the mathematical hero

I threw Mr Nakamura
out of the window
I saw time move so slow
and a sword through my chest from Hiro

I threw Jessica Alba
out of the window
I saw myself in the gallows
while men lost their libidos

I threw Texas Holdem
out of the window
I saw that nobody wanted to follow
when I offered myself for one night of borrow

I threw this poem
out of the window
I found it lame and hollow
but decided to leave it for you to swallow
while sleep calls me to my pillow
as I ponder on what to throw
out of the window tomorrow.......

My Boo!

You're The Sum Of A Unique Equation
by Mr Giraffe

You're the sum of a unique equation
of all things great and small
When placed together in relation
your beauty surpasses them all

Dynasties will rise, empires will fall
and time will brings us to deathly crawl
yet trivial with you as my wonderwall
Love epitomized through your creation
You, the sum of a unique equation

Distances apart, clock and watch delays
one more month till the airways
We will meet with much elation
as it has been you always,
The sum of my unique equation.

For you! Haha. =)
Ok time to whack Arg{z} again. zzz

GEP Talk Part 3

Jeopardy, for $200.

"I’d like to share a revelation that I’ve had, during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you aren’t actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with its surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply, and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we... are the cure."

GEP Talk Part 2

Are you a copycat learner or a creative/constructive learner?

Creative in the sense that you don't rely on past existing material thought to you. Instead, you create new ideas/ subjects/opinions out of nothing, and use these new material to describe phenomenon.

Copycat in the sense that you learn by rote, memorize techniques employed in answering questions, remember examples, wait for a demonstration before you replicate or improve it.

In Maths, I'm an absolute copycat learner. I can't get answers out of abstract proofs, with the occasional exception. Most of the time, I'm relying on google or provided hints to obtain the answer or proceed with the question. I'll absorb all sorts of answers to questions and use them to establish and motivate other questions.

In cooking, I need my mom to cook using her special pot first before I start using it. Same goes for the Oreo Cheesecake, which my girlfriend baked to perfection, and I just memorized and vomit out the steps.

Haha. In any case, I have no problem being a copycat learner. Since I "copycat" things at a pretty quick rate too, rather than
waste a whole lot of time experimenting with new ideas and engage in supermassive creative destruction.

Hmmm, gym time. I dunnoe why I'm attempting to read Churchill's book inside out. Macham like I want to do my thesis on Complex Numbers. *vomit*

GEP Talk

Sometimes, I feel that the Complex Analysis course i'm taking is like MA4247 (Version S).

Hurhur, you can map any open unit disc into a simply connected domain with the domain represented by a sequence of functions which when linked, become a polygonal domain. What is this man.

Well anyway, I'm starting to think that Biology and Complex Numbers have quite a lot in common.

Imagine an open unit disc, centred around the origin. The following terms are analogous to one another.

Domain = Cell
Boundary = Inner/Outer Membrane
Origin = Nucleus
Image = Cytoplasm

Hmmm. I'm not really looking forward to the exam. The Masters students all like attend class don't need to copy notes, then still get higher score for their assignments over me. smlj.

Week ?? Day ??

I photoshopped this picture for my astronomy report. Why? Because I tried taking a picture of the night sky using my camera. It was as good as taking a picture with my shutter closed.

Haha. See whether I can fake my professor.

Haven't watched City Of God yet? Go catch it. It's the only show so far that I've watched on my laptop where I was darn impressed.

Space Centre

huh. there really is such a thing called A SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE. I wonder whether Matt Bellamy of Muse studied Astronomy. Lol. Check out the notes below. I'm not shitting.

Oh delayed pictures from the Vancouver Space Centre. I entered it for free for my Astrology module.

Hmmmmm. You don't get to see this in Singapore hor.

Hmmmm. Daylight savings gonna end in 3 days time. By then, Vancouver will be 16 hours behind Singapore.

Remnants of a meteor/comet.

Awesome. I touched the moon. Dunnoe whether fake one or not. lol.

Okie. I'm starting to get a bit bored of Astro already. Because I realized it's highly likely i'll forget everything once I return back to Singapore. So.. I've decided, to always update my blog during Astro. haha.

Wow

Woo. The Constant Gardener is damn good. Don't know why I didn't watched it back then. Downloading City Of God now, another movie produced by the same director, whose name is Fernando Mereilles.

He'll be directing another movie Blindness, set to release in 2008, when blindness becomes an epidemic in society, causing its downfall. Awesome.

Ok sleep time. Skipped too many geog lectures already.

Seattle Day 3

First Starbucks Store in the world!

Pike Fish Market

Look at that throng of seafood

Monk Fish. Hmmm. If the fisherman want to niao you, they will pull the tail and the fish will move

Cabbage Rose. ??

Microsoft's answer to the i Pod Video. It rocks man. So idiot proof. Resolution's good somemore. But I got scolded for taking pictures. zzzz

The Experience Music Project and Sci Fiction Museum. 2 museums for the price of one. Wow. These 2 museums are the best that I've ever been to. What a pity that I couldn't take any pictures. A definite recommend if you're dropping by in Seattle.

They got drums, electric guitars and pianos for you to play. Even DJ mixing machines for you to meddle. Damn cool la.
Space Needle = Calgary Tower = Macau Tower (mod Tourist Trap)

Snoqualmie Falls. Nice.
Dunnoe whether want to go back Seattle or not. Hmmmm. In actual fact, there are many portions of the city which I haven't explored fully yet. But I think I'm suffering from Traveller's Fatigue already. Go here go there. Still got LA next month. Hmmmm.

Oh I bought a Samsonite bag for 30 SGD. Nine West ladies shoes going for 60 SGD. Ridiculous. So cheap. -_-

Seattle Day 2

Guess which duo is back in action? Look at the trailer below. WAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA.

Pictures from Seattle Day 2

The store inside the Museum of Glass. Their postcards are brilliant, and cheap.

One planet is going for the price of 100 USD. All made of glass.

Abstract. But quite sian. Inside the main gallery, cannot take any photos at all. And some of the stuff were really cool.

Exterior of the Museum. Looks a little like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, though it's a more nonsensical version of it.

The Bridge of Glass

The Plant Conservatory. It's this greenhouse with all kinds of plants from everywhere.

Pitcher Plant
Wah. For a moment, I thought I was looking at a snake.

Some big fat tree outside the greenhouse.

Mount St Helens. Boooooom.

Pyroclaustic ash all over the mountain base.

This area used to be full of greenery and trees. Now, it's horrendously barren.

Zoom in on crater. Apparently, the peak is missing due to the eruption.

The remaining trees. Well the force was so powerful, it just ripped the tree off it's trunk.

Dinner was Kobe Beef Burger with 4 cheesecakes. Urgh. Gelat until dunnoe what.
