Week 5 Part 1
Left with only algebra and complex analysis.
Now. I feel more like a tourist again. Lol. Ok time to watch more videos.

Week 4 Part 4
a maze full of maizes (corn)
some farms.
countryside.
ok. nothing much. just updating my location. haha
Week 4 Part 3
Theorem 1.1
If you understand UBC Maths, then you will find NUS Maths horrendously easy.
Direct Proof
Let any x in UBC be a Maths student.
Buy him a air ticket to undergo a one semester exchange in Singapore
4 months later, he skips all his classes and he attains a A for MA3111 and MA3218.
Then x finds NUS Maths a breeze.
Proved.
Sorry i'm talking shit. Astro a bit boring today.

Week 4 Part 2
anyway, complex analysis just got easy again. gee. cauchy goursat theorem and fundamental theorem of calculus.
but i'm getting partitioned into many pieces again by measure theory. sigh. hope i pass this assignment.
aiyah i resign to fate already. if i screw up the measure theory module, then so be it. do special sem lo. sibei sian.

Week 4 Part 2
Check this website out. This person owns the blog, where he collects postcards from all kinds of people from all walks of life, from all corners of the planet. The postcards? People write their darkest secrets on them, relating the background or image of the postcard to the content on the card. Some entries are great, some sorrowful, some sick. Well... I read it every week. Kinda interesting.
Hey don't look at me. If I did that, most of my postcards would be lamenting on the existence of Cauchy and Riemann.
Damn. If I reckoned if I master Measure Theory, wow I can possibly do FM, Probability Theory and lots of other stuff.
Oh well, I'm talking gibberish that only a few readers of my blog will most probably understand.
Hmmm, I ate my lunch an hour ago. Then I decided to play a bit of the piano below the cafeteria. After hitting a few notes, the alarm bell rang.
I didn't know fire alarms were allergic to Hanseltonian music.

You are The Emperor
Stability, power, protection, realization; a great person.
The Emperor is the great authority figure of the Tarot, so it represents
fathers, father-figures and employers. There is a lot of aggression and violence
too.
The Emperor naturally follows the Empress. Like an infant, he is filled with enthuiasm, energy, aggression. He is direct, guileless and all too often irresistible. Unfortunately, like a baby he can also be a tyrant. Impatient, demanding, controlling. In the best of circumstances, he signifies the leader that everyone wants to follow, sitting on a throne that indicates the solid foundation of an Empire he created, loves and rules with intelligence and enthusiasm. But that throne can also be a trap, a responsibility that has the Emperor feeling restless, bored and discontent.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
huh??? dunnoe. no comments. at least i'm not the jester, that's for sure.

Week 4 Part 1
ok that aside. i spent abt 5 hours doing my complex homework last night. i have 5 homework sets to complete every fortnight, which translates to 10 percent of my grade per homework set. so exam is 50%. urgh.
ironically, even lebesgue seems much easier than complex at the moment. screw the putnam. i need more free time to slack.
ooo, i roughly know how to play boston on the piano. i shall try it at the rundown piano at the commonsblock some time soon.

Week 3 Part 3
ah heck la. i give up comparing ubc and nus maths. i wrote one long list of stuff, so screw it.
here are the victoria pictures. the capital of british columbia. blogger lost some of my pictures also. knn.
ok that's all. i gotta do work now. will add more pictures when i have the time.

Week 3 Part 2
can you see the geometric progression?
so.. err.. total number of neutrons = 1 + 3 + 9 + 27 + .... = many many uranium getting split = a lot of energy released all thanks to Einstein's equation of E=MCsquare.
one kg of uranium produces 12 billion big macs. so if have 10kg of uranium, you'll have erm.... a mushroom cloud of big macs. lol.
whoa i found another NUS exchange student who's studying maths also. turns out that both of us are the only clowns in UBC, doing maths, and doing lehhhhhbig, cockplex and algaybra. and we're both lost in mathematical Riemann space.
i mean what the crap. Mobius transformation of a complex number and the transformation being a Group in abstract algebra? SMLJ!!! woohoo. don't understand what i'm saying right? i doubt anyone doing Complex Analysis 2 in NUS will understand what i'm saying either.
okok. time to pay more attention to astrology. damn interesting this module.

Week Three Part 1
Here's the sample paper
Thing is. The median score is 0 out of 120. Yes no shit. 0. Zero. Kosong. Zilch. Nil. And apparently, a Harvard Maths Professor got zero for it too.So in an attempt to prove a point, I shall try the paper and attend the practice sessions (hey hell, there's free pizza and pop), and attempt to score a single digit score (other than zero), so that in all eventuality I know, I'm smarter than a Harvard Maths Professor. Well, even if I get a zero, I've achieved parity with a Harvard Maths Professor. LOL.
Errr, well, if I'm in the top 100, my lecturer said that you're as good as king anywhere. haha. Cool. So... errr... try a bit la ah? hahaha. maybe i can get into Harvard or MIT with this. LOL.
Damn Astronomy's pretty interesting. Polaris, the North Star right? Suppose you see it during the night, it's actually 430 light years away. So... the light from Polaris actually left in like.... 1478 A.D, just to reach your eye on that very starry night. Ok. I sound bimbotic.
crazy right. come UBC to become a mathematical rubbernecker. more pictures on Butchart gardens next.

Day 12
Suppose God is the supremum of all living beings on Earth. Then in order to prove the existence of God, you'll need to find the supremum in the universe. So then, is there an existential supremum in this universal set?
What the fuck?
So he related it to sigma algebra and he was talking about whether it was possible to find the smallest possible family of sets which still remains a sigma algebra. and erm.. well, it exists.
What the fuck x two?
You know, I'm really hoping i'll pass. Even complex analysis is getting slightly ridiculous. Transformation of multi layered Riemann surfaces into a singled valued function for Logz, sqrt(z(1-z)) and whatever not.
But well at least, astronomy and geography is really interesting. with great lecturers of course. so... there's still some consolation
ok mahjong in one hour time. time to gamble.

Day 8 (Death from Abstract Algebra)
thank goodness for gordon's notes. or not i would be pretty screwed.
but i think i'm rather screwed at the moment. cos i don't quite know how to start the questions most of the time. hahaha.
kkk i will post pictures of my room tomorrow, when i finish my 9am - 2pm lesson, without a break in between, that is.

Day 7
ok la. enuf. i can't iron my clothes properly because i don't have an ironing board. so i gave up and threw everything into the dryer. zzz. gotta get my arse to seattle chop chop and get all the cK and levis
